 , 2019\, for resource families. The training will discuss Foster Care Educ
 ation Law and help parents and caregivers learn how to advocate for foster
  children at school.</p>\n\n<b>About Our Speaker: </b>In 2012\, Debra Sand
 ers began working for Sonoma County Office of Education as the Education L
 iaison for youth in foster care or experiencing homelessness.  In this rol
 e\, Debra provides support to the county’s 40 school districts\, as well a
 s to social workers\, families\, and youth.  This role provides a unique o
 pportunity for Debra to draw on the technical expertise gained during two 
 decades as an educator while also building relationships with people from 
 a broad cross section of the community.
