CPI’s Community Resilience Center is at the heart of Roseland and Southwest Santa Rosa in Sonoma County, California. This vibrant hub will feature two dedicated cooling centers—including one with shaded outdoor areas—offering families a safe, comfortable place during extreme heat waves.
What Makes Our Resilience Hub Unique?
Holistic Family Support Services
- On-site therapists to help manage stress, anxiety, and parenting challenges
- Parenting support sessions to strengthen relationships under pressure
- Referrals for housing, food access, and essential resources
Activities That Nurture and Calm
- Sensory play stations with cool water beads, sand trays, and calming jars in shaded outdoor spaces
- Creative activities such as art, story time, and quiet games
- Special programming tailored for toddlers, school-aged children, and teens
Our Climate-Ready Transformation
Currently in the pre-construction phase, the Resilience Hub is undergoing renovations to reduce climate impact and prepare as a certified Cooling Center.
Upgrades include:
- Solar power installation
- Energy-efficient HVAC systems
- Facility Condition Assessment (FCA) upgrades
- Redesigned indoor playrooms and activity areas
The campus features two buildings—north and south—separated by a central parking lot, each serving as a welcoming space for families year-round.
