Resource Family Fun Time
This creative arts group is for children and youth ages 7-18 in foster care and their resource families, including kinship, or non-relative family member care providers. The group is designed for the whole family to participate, including siblings ages 7 and older.
Come get creative together- playing improvisational games, making family art, exploring movement and music, and more! This is a great way to have fun together in a structured, low pressure environment sensitive to the unique needs of your special families. Build great memories, explore new ways to communicate positively and effectively, and create new connections!
You'll also learn and practice simple, powerful mind-body skills that help relieve stress and heal the effects of trauma. These techniques, along with the toolbox of fun activities you'll discover, can help create positive changes as families continue to enjoy them at home together.
Please note: Dinner will be provided. Onsite childcare is available* for children too young to participate. (*Space is limited, and is available on a first come, first served basis in order of registration).
We understand schedules may not allow families to attend all 8 sessions. We're flexible; register now and let us know at the first session (or by emailing dallasm@calparents.org) which dates you can attend!
If you have questions, please contact Creative Arts Program Manager Dallas Munger at dallasm@calparents.org or (707) 321-3229.
